First Snowfall in Luxembourg: Road Vigilance Advised
Luxembourg - November 27, 2023
The onset of snowfall across the entire Grand Duchy has commenced since this morning.
As November draws to a close, it's time to bring out scarves and hats. As predicted by the Luxembourg Meteorological Institute, temperatures dropped for the first time on Tuesday, set to decrease further during the midweek.
Hence, the week starts with snowfall predictions. The national meteorological agency forecasts fresh accumulations averaging between 1 to 2 centimeters in the heights, occasionally reaching up to 5 centimeters. Exercise caution on the roads, especially during the commute back from work.
Thermometers indicate subzero temperatures of around -1 degree Celsius in certain areas, posing challenges for travel in the northern or southern parts of the country.
Afternoon temperatures hover between 1 to 3 degrees Celsius, accompanied by very light snowfall, gradually transitioning into rain.
Luxembourg Police have urged caution on the roads. SIMOURQ News team also recommends embracing the first Luxembourgish snowfall to the fullest – whether it's taking a walk in the snow or simply enjoying a warm beverage behind the window during the snowfall. Stay safe and relish this snowy moment!
